Happy New Year - we’ve not had the pleasure in 2022! So here we are, another year of uncertainty and changing landscapes. Time to focus on what matters most: community!
Specifically, looking at our job serving and enabling the global platform engineering community, our users. You, dear user, are making the Platform Engineering meetups across the globe a hotspot for content. You are making the Platform Engineering Slack grow at 1,000 users a month and I have had stunning conversations with all of you there.
We’re now taking this to the next level by launching platformengineering.org, the new home for the platform engineering ecosystem. You can find reviews, events, the slack, defining articles, and video talks by experts such as Jan Löffler, Manuel Pais, Jason Warner, and many others on there. Any ideas or want to contribute? Reach out. We’ll make it happen.
I sincerely hope these community offerings serve you well - we have lots of exciting stuff on this coming real soon, let me just mention the keywords “open-source driver hub” and “PlatformCon” to spark your imagination.
2021 has seen an incredible uptake in interest for us as platform engineers. You have no idea how 2022 will accelerate this trend. We’re in this together, let’s go!
