Kubernetes provides organisations with a huge set of infrastructure capabilities and a flexibility that was hard to imagine only a few years ago. But that doesn’t mean this is a one-size-fits-all solution. We often see absolute chaos ensue, when teams’ visions for business value, IT and development don’t align on how to best roll out such technologies across the organization. The problem is not just the tech, but the culture too. In Lian’s words:

“Kubernetes alone won’t save you, but with the right mindset, it might be what you needed to save yourself”.

In this webinar Lian and Eva will discuss:

  • When is an organisation ripe for cloud transformation?
  • Why does technological transformation also mean cultural transformation?
  • What are typical pitfalls of these transformations and how to avoid them?

After a 15 minutes talk, there will be 30 minutes for a discussion round. We’d like to encourage you to submit your questions or topics in advance.

A recording of the webinar and related materials will be shared with webinar attendees afterwards.

Lian Li, Container Solutions:

Lian always wanted to save the world. After a failed attempt at becoming a lawyer, she decided to do something with computers instead. Working as a Fullstack Software Engineer, she got into attending tech events and giving talks on Machine Learning. During this time, she fell in love with the tech community and discovered her passion for building community and providing a safe and productive environment for all, which led to her co-organising the community conference ServerlessDays Amsterdam.

Currently, Lian lives in Amsterdam and works as Engineering Manager at Container Solutions, a consultancy focused on programmable infrastructure.

Eva Lettner, Container Solutions:

Once upon a time, Eva was a linguist, set on studying dead languages, but life had other plans and soon she started learning programming languages instead. For the past couple of years she has shared her passion for creative coding, diversity in tech and tech culture in workshops and talks around the world. She also founded Women&&Code, a non-profit organisation that aims to get more women into tech.

Eva lives in Vienna, Austria, and works as an Engineering Manager at Container Solutions.
