Choosing a suitable Kubernetes Container Network Interface (CNI) is an important choice. This session will help you in your choice, reviewing some important features, technologies, and performance considerations.
Beyond that, Chris and Reza will demo Kubernetes Network Policies and show you how they are written and applied. Then, they’ll discuss the differences between Kubernetes Network Policies and solutions like Calico Network Policies and when you might want to use the latter.
One key feature is Network Policy support. Chris and Reza will dive in and answer some key questions you might have:
- What are K8s Network Policies?
- How can I write, manage, and deploy them?
- How are Calico Network Policies different?
After a 30 minutes talk, there will be 15 minutes for Q&A. You can even submit your questions in advance. A recording of the webinar and related materials will be shared with attendees afterwards.

Chris is a Developer Advocate at Tigera, where he champions user needs to support Project Calico’s users and contributor community. He has worked in networking since 2000. After realising that a per-device CLI is not a scalable solution for a large environment, he took an early interest in infrastructure-as-code approaches and large-scale automation and continues to have a special interest in pursuing technologies in these areas.
