Virtual hands-on lab: Enterprise-grade Internal Developer Platform in 2 hrs

We will follow the reference architectures for modern IDPs developed by McKinsey’s platform teams “as code” to set up a version one of an enterprise-grade Internal Developer Platform together. We will learn the integration points and customization options and test out the developer workflows. In the end you will have a complete overview of the day-to-day life as a platform team member, using the Platform Orchestrator to standardize the way you manage app and infra configs, across all your teams.

​During this lab, you will:

• Get access to a “platform as code” setup from portal to orchestrator and from CI to Terraform.
• Understand the key design principles and integration points of the platform. 
• Use and configure the platform as a Platform Engineer to build golden paths. 
• Consume the platform as an application developer. 

Quick note: The lab environment is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience and ease of access. It lacks many security features of a production ready, hardened environment. Therefore, you must avoid using the lab environment for any real-world or production purposes involving private data.
